Damarisco has been in good form of late and can win the final race on the card at the expense of Tizi Ouzo, Amadeus and Jayed to name but three. Damarisco was successful when trained in France two years ago, and has not had that many outings over timber since joining Philip Hobbs, just the eight in fact. He has been placed to score twice on better ground at Exeter this year, and then failed to give lumps of weight to Lady Lisa in a handicap here last time. The going was softer that day though and conditions today should ensure that he makes a bold bid to get the losses back. His conqueror last time is trained by Martin Pipe who now sends out Tizi Ouzo, an all-the-way winner at Taunton the time before last. The visor helped her cause then but it did not make much of a difference when she quickly capitulated at Wincanton next time. Amadeus returns to hurdles on a much better mark than over fences, but may need conditions softer than today's while Jayed needs to improve after scraping home in a seller at Fakenham. the fact that connections went to 7,200gns to retain him shows that they at least have faith in him, but we shall stick with Damarisco.
