Not many have leading claims here and Honan is the interesting one, with Tosawi, Nazimabad and Sammagefromtenesse best of the rest. Honan made his first start for Martin Pipe a winning one in bumper company here last April and looked set to go on to much better things. However he has had his limitations exposed in 13 subsequent outings, and was beaten in a selling hurdle at Ludlow two weeks ago when folding tamely after trying to make all. The good news is that Tony McCoy sits on him for the first time since his sole victory, and he is sure to have been well schooled for his chase debut. Tosawi has a far better level of form over hurdles and is more experienced at chasing as well. He has had his limitations exposed though and has to give weight away all round after going up four-pounds in the weights last week. The drop back in trip may be against him as well and he is overlooked along with Nazimabad who has been a bit too keen for his own good over fences. Sammagefromtenesse has kept poor company both over hurdles and fences and makes little appeal, and with the champion to help, we reckon that Honan can shine at last.
