Tom Sayers, Terramarique and The Bandit are three against the field in another wide open affair and the vote is given to Tom Sayers. The selection has been in good form of late over fences, returns to hurdles off what looks a handy mark and under conditions that suit he is hard to oppose. Terramarique rates the main danger as he won well last time when beating Good Man Again but this looks tougher and under his penalty at likely odds he looks worth taking on . The Bandit would be a danger to all if given an easy lead but that does not look likely and he looks opposable on that basis. College Ace looks vulnerable under top weight while Red Echo may improve for the fitting of a first time visor but for the winner we return to Tom Sayers who looks well handicaped.
