A competitive handicap gets proceedings underway and there is very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Baan. Top Mark and Spinning and the vote is given to Baan. The selection is well weighted on his best form, has conditions to suit and hinted at a return to form last time out when third behind Ahlawy. That form looks solid and off the same mark here he looks the one to be on. Top Mark rates the main danger on his latest second behind Sedrego but he has had plenty of chances of late off similar marks without winning and is taken on with this in mind. Spinning is another that could go well on his latest fourth behind Sams Secret but that horse has since been well beaten under a penalty. Of the remainder Gallego has conditions to suit and could go well at a price off his light weight but Baan seems to have plenty going for him and he gets the vote.
