Nanga Parbat came good when returned to hurdles at Worcester last month but has disappointed in previous starts over fences and he looks best watched so preference is for Tagula Blue, who gets the vote with Osprey View rated the pick of the remainder. The selection was easily the pick of these over hurdles and, while falling early on when making his chasing debut at Market Rasen earlier this month, the Ian Williams-trained gelding looks well worth another chance in this company. David Pipe's Go Solo has shown gradual improvement in recent starts over hurdles but would need to improve for the switch to chasing to trouble the judge, while Gary Moore's Marc of Brilliance had to drop into a claimer to resume winning ways over hurdles and may be best watched on his chasing debut. Orion Express has run respectably over timber but is another that would need to step up on that form for the change to chasing and a more likely winner is Osprey View. Nigel Twiston-Davies continues to churn out plenty of winners and this five-year-old has shown progressive form over hurdles prior to making a promising debut over fences over an extended two miles here last month. The longer trip today should suit but marginal preference is for Tagula Blue, who will hopefully show what he is really capable of today.
