In depth

Verdict

Trinity Rose has shown gradual improvement with each start over hurdles and was successful in good fashion at Cartmel when last seen in May and Peter Bowen's mare is taken to follow up here and defy her penalty, getting the verdict over Marigolds Way and Briteside. The last mentioned makes her debut under rules today but David Pipe's mare has shown ability in point-to-points so has to be considered over a trip that should suit. Alison Thorpe's Back The Bid also makes the change from pointing to rules racing and a market move for her would be of interest. Lets Get Busy has shown only a modicum of ability over timber and of more interest is Newton Abbot handicap winner Marigolds Way, who has run well in defeat since then. A 7lb penalty leaves her with more to do back in this company today though and preference is for the progressive Trinity Rose.
