Verdict

Another wide open affair in which many have chances on there best form and the main protagonists appear to be New Bird The Stggery Boy and Merry Minstrel and we will take a chance on the old stager New Bird. The eight year old was a good second behind Joey Tribiani last time out at Aintree and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. The Staggery Boy won well over course and distance last time out when defeating Special Agenda but he will find this harder under his penalty. Merry Minstrel is another that could go well he is well weighted on his best form but he has a 50 day absence to overcome. L'Etang Bleu has been very disappointing over fences of late and is readily opposed. Of the remainder Jan's Dream is from a yard in form and is worth a cautionary look in the market.
