Verdict

NATURAL HISTORY started favourite for the Imperial Cup at Sandown last month but pulled too hard and didn’t get home in the testing conditions. A useful performer on the Flat, he should relish this much quicker ground and sharper track will be a short price to recoup losses. Caddyhill finally got off the mark at Haydock but had to be ridden out to do so and may struggle under a penalty. Songo was second over 1m4f at Kempton recently but needs to settle better to make an impact over timber while Man Of Light was disappointing on the Flat when trained by James Fanshawe.
