Some top stables represented here, including Philip Hobbs with Tresor Preziniere and Peter Bowen with Step Quick, both should run well, but we will take a chance on Polligana. It's hard to believe but this eight-year-old is still a maiden but he has shown enough on numerous occasions to suggest he has the ability to win a race of this nature. You do have to ignore his last effort here when well behind Villair, but prior to that he was an excellent second behind Dunmanus Bay, form that should be good enough against these rivals. Tresor Preziniere has had a few problems with his fencing but had a nice confidence booster over the smaller obstacles last time and has to be rated a big danger. Step Quick won a small race at Market Rasen last season and a recent spin at Fakenham will have blown away any cobwebs following a six month absence and he is sure to be in the shake up. Of the others top-weight Bak To Bill is holding his form well, however Polligana has been given every chance by the handicapper and he gets our vote.
