Verdict

VICTREE is given the narrow vote to follow up on his recent Plumpton success ahead of Well Mick and Backfromthecongo. The selection is only four pounds higher after his recent success and has conditions in his favour once again. If he can reproduce that same level of form he will not be far away come the business end of the race. Well Mick had been performing well in the point to point field before catching the eye at Towcester last month. He finished a decent secont to Arceye that day and gets another chance to run off the same mark so warrants plenty of respect. Backfromthecongo has performed well enough of late but may struggle to reverse the form with Well Mick on their last clash at Towcester. He has top weight to shrug off also and may have to settle for minor honours once again. This is a competetive race in which we return to Victree as the likely winner.
