Verdict

CLASSIC SWAINE is given the vote in what looks like a competitive affair, while both Persian Warrior and Come Out Firing are worthy of mention. The selection has continued to improve with race experience and gained back to back victories at Wincanton and at this venue over a shorter trip. He looks well in at the weights and this step up in distance will not pose as a problem so he is difficult to oppose. Persian Warrior was winning in the point to point field before scoring at Stratford last month on his latest outing. He has grown with confidence in the past twelve months and has also matured. He comes into the race in fine form so warrants plenty of respect. The same can be said about Come Out Firing who has been mixing it up over hurdles and fences of late and landed his hat-trick over course and distance last week when sent off a short priced favourite but more will be needed this time around. Classic Swaine is improving and if at his best he will take all the beating.
