Verdict

Glorious Zoff looked the likely winner when falling at Bangor, for which the assessor reacted by raising him 4lb for not completing the course. He should go well and ties in closely with Coolnaugh Haze on their running at Warwick in May when the O'Brien charge prevailed by a head. The Hobbs/White gelding is running consistently well without getting his head in front and should be competitive again. Milton Harris isn't afraid of pitching younger hurdlers in against their elders and his reliable gelding, Cabrakan, can go well around this sharp track off a feasible mark. He's made the frame in all six hurdling runs. However, THRONE HALL (NAP) wasn't beaten far in the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting and was far from disgraced here when last seen over timber and should be cherry-ripe now.
