Jolly Giant can shrug off topweight to beat the likes of Athnowen and Here Comes Henry. Jolly Giant was not the safest of jumpers last season but when he stayed on his feet, could be relied on to win a race or two. The most recent of his two career victories came at Exeter in March when he beat little of note but put his stamina to good use, and if fit enough here can outstay them all. Strictly on the form-book, Here Comes Henry has a big chance as he gets a 17lb pull with the selection for the six lengths that separated them at Chepstow in 2002. However, he has failed to build on that and has been disappointing. A bigger danger may be Athnowen, a winner here in the past, although he has yet to score over this sort of trip. With that in mind, Jolly Giant appeals with no doubts about his stamina.
