It's worth taking the chance that INFIRAAD can return to action in top form as he's potentially ahead of the handicapper. Secrecy, Swop and Fanunalter may provide the opposition. Given that he's been off the track since June, a certain amount has to be taken on trust but he was favourite ahead of stablemate Ouqba in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes that day and is clearly a talent. His form prior to that is rock solid as he had accounted for Firebet on his previous outing but that is unlikely to have escaped the notice of the layers. Swop has been dropped by a couple of pounds following his run in the Cambridgeshire and this is arguably less competitive than a number of races that he's contested so he could well fare better. Secrecy has yet to finish out of the frame and may fare better on this stiffer track if granted a true gallop than he did at Salisbury whilst this will be just the fifth start of his career so there could be more in the locker. King Of Rome and Liberation have more to prove as does last year's shock winner Lucky Dance and of more interest is Fanunalter as long as you're prepared to forgive a poor run at Ascot. He had looked worth keeping on side prior to that and can be given another chance. Fastnet Storm is never easy to pass from the front but a 6lb rise for a narrow win and the shorter trip could sink his claims as we take Infiraad to scoop the pot.
