ROYAL EXCHANGE looks the most progressive and he can take top-billing. Ridden solely by Richard Hughes, this Royal Applause colt completed a hat-trick in fine fashion at Salisbury, especially considering his bit slipped early on. This is the acid test as he steps up in class but he looks up to it, and his adaptability in regards to the ground is a big plus. The Paddyman looks a big rival, coming here on the back of a never threatening fourth in the Mill Reef. His previous second to Libranno is further testament to his ability. Zaidan flopped at Newbury last month but he has been given a break and is not discounted, along with the 104-rated Surrey Star and potential improver Casual Glimpse.
