Zip Lock looks an obviously strong contender here but he won't be much of a price after going close at Lingfield over this trip and we will take him on with SAFWAAN, who receives what may prove a handy 3lbs. Trainer William Haggas has his string in top form and this gelded son of Selkirk was not disgraced when fifth of six in a York maiden that has worked out well. This is his first run since then and now freshened up he may be able to do much better over a trip that should suit. Maid To Dream is another who can improve again and may well appreciate this surface, while La Kalam might show significantly better than on her Ffos Las debut.
