In race two on the card, the selection is Leptis Magna ahead of Gunner's View and Veenwouden. Leptis Magna looked a progressive performer when scoring on good to soft at Windsor two runs ago and a modest run from a low draw at Goodwood can probably be forgiven. We will take that view anyway and make him the selection. Gunner's View looked as though he had improvement in him when running well on his handicap debut at Salisbury last time and he should be effective dropped in trip today, while Resplendent Nova is not far above a winning mark from last October and has the going in his favour. Veenwouden is lightly-raced and open to improvement and also hails from a canny yard so is another to consider. The market might tell us more about the others but the selection, once again, is Leptis Magna.
