In depth

Verdict

Another trappy contest but we will side with Ouninpohja to get the better of Guadalajara and Something Exciting. The selection is not the most straightforward and he is proving hard to win with, but he is still running creditably and he lost no caste in defeat behind Consular at Haydock last time. A reproduction of that effort will make him hard to beat. Guadalajara is eased significantly in grade after being outclassed last time at Ascot, but she still has plenty to prove at present and it will be interesting to see if there is any support in the ring for her. Something Exciting finished last in the Coronation Cup at Epsom last time when returning from a long break. She is sure to strip fitter for that run and again she is one to note in the market as a strong case could be made for her based on her best form. The rest don't look good enough and in a tricky contest for punters we will return to Ouninpohja who gets our vote.
