Verdict
Mudawin gets the vote over Mirjan and Mikao, with Kames Park best of the remainder. Mudawin has been in good form, having won two of his last three starts, at Kempton and Sandown. This is certainly a leap in class for the five-year-old, but at least he has proved that he stays, and a good run here might see him take his place in the Ebor. Mirjan's last success came in the Northumberland Plate two years ago and he would prefer softer ground, but remains a threat on his best form. Mikao has been down the field in both the Chester Cup and the Plate and needs to show his best to figure strongly, while Kames Park deserves a crack at this trip based on latest efforts, but is another with more to do. All in all, this appears to be a sound opportunity for Mudawin to gain another course win.
