This has been a very good race for three-year-olds in the past and LADYSHIP can keep up the sequence. Sir Michael Stoute's filly, a winner over this trip at Leicester in May, made a promising return after a break when runner-up at Ascot and was fancied to go one better at York last month but was repeatedly denied an opening. Frankie Dettori rode her that day and is on board again so compensation awaits. Swan Song is another from the younger brigade with a chance as she scored over this trip at Salisbury in May and didn't reappear until last month when she found the minimum trip just too short. Place In My Heart, who started favourite that day, disappointed but is better judged on her fine run behind Fulbright here in July. Hezmah looks best of the older fillies though a 6lb rise for her victory at Yarmouth may prove just too much. La Fortunata has won the last twice she's raced over the C&D and is no forlorn hope in an open contest.
