A good contest for the fillies can be taken by JEANIE JOHNSTON, while Mudaaraah might be good enough to chase her home for the forecast. Jeanie Johnston stepped up on her Haydock debut with a very impressive maiden win back at the same track, showing that she acts both with cut and on fast ground. That looks like the best piece of form on offer here, although before getting carried away it is worth noting that the fourth that day was a well beaten favourite next time. Mudaaraah ran plenty green enough until the penny dropped at Folkestone, before she picked up to win a shade cosily and she has to have claims with improvement likely. Absolute Music should be better for the drop back to this grade although has it to prove over the trip, while Curtains finished ahead of that rival in the Albany at Royal Ascot and it should be close between that pair. Electric Feel had the edge over Angelina Ballerina when the pair met in May and should be able to confirm that, while Hairspray went one better than Curtains when that duo clashed at Lingfield and may well be able to improve upon it, having been put away since. An intriguing affair and Jeanie Johnston is the one for us.
