A wide open handicap rounds off the card and there is very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Red Current, Tracer and Event Music, and the narrow nomination is given to Red Current. The selection was a fair third on his seasonal debut behind Tetouan and although he looks sure to be suited by further in time, he looks sure to be suited by this stiff track and he could be the one to be on. Tracer is feared the most on his latest fourth behind Game Lady. He looks sure to improve for this longer trip but he is rising in the weights for getting beat and he looks opposable on that basis. Event Music is from the bang in-form Mick Channon yard and could go well at a price but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Napoleon Dynamite was second behind Jord last time and is another with a live chance with the longer trip looking to be in his favour, but the draw could have been kinder to him. Slipasearcher ran as if in the handicappers grip when behind Linda Green last time. Of the remainder, Early Promise is well weighted on his best form and is still open to improvement so could go well at a price, but in a race where few can be ruled out for the winner we return to Red Current.
