A wide open maiden here and as usual in these events the market will be very informative but the main protagonists appear to be Transcend, Cape Cobra and Cavalry Guard and the tentative vote is given to Transcend. The selection sets a fair standard on his latest third behind Ascalon and although there are some well bred newcomers in the field he is taken to put his eexperienceto good use. Cape Cobra rates the main danger as he is a well bred colt by Inchinor but he hails from the same stable as the selection and on jockey bookings he looks the second string. Cavalry Guard has ran with promise over a variety of trips but he often finds less than expected off the bridle. Destour was a fair fourth behind Bold Abbot on his debut and is sure to him improve but all his close relations are better over a longer trip. Word of Warning hails from a yard that can ready a newcomer and this War Chant colt out of Frosty Welcome should be watched in the market. However, for the winner we return to Transcend.
