    Verdict

Mark Johnston bids to win this for the fourth year in succession and Themaxwecan arrives in fine form having won over 2m at Ascot last month. He has every chance but SAROOG (NAP) continued his good progress with a victory at the same track last time and has now won on all three occasions he’s raced over 1m6f. He can go in again with Simon Crisford’s yard remaining in fine form. Island Brave has faced some tough assignments recently and is preferred to Byron Flyer while winning hurdler Fiesole had a decent strike rate on the Flat when trained in Ireland.
