Strange to see the once-useful Top Notch Tonto contesting an amateur riders' handicap off a mark of 71 but there have been no signs of a breakthrough this term. In contrast, a number have been in consistent form at or around this level, one of whom is course and distance winner RAILPORT DOLLY. David Barron's filly maintains her form with great credit and a recent third at Ripon on Saturday behind Anna Bunina reads well. Bollin Joan pops up regularly enough and should give Emily Easterby a good spin, while Thorntoun Care is consistent in these events and respected. Regal Director is noted for the Watson and Hampson combination that's gone well in such races this term.
