The first of three big-field handicaps to complete the card and David O'Meara is dually represented courtesy of top weight Young Fire and STAR SHIELD (NAP) with jockey bookings indicating the latter is the stable. The Helmet gelding has enjoyed a successful season and ran a solid race in the Thirsk Summer Cup earlier this month - he is expected to be prominent again off an unchanged mark. Whinmoor, though finding life tougher off higher marks after a successful time of things last season, ran much better here last time and may have found his level again. Universal Gleam can also take a hand if back to his winning form in the spring.
