      Verdict

This is very competitive, despite the small field. Nizaaka was second at Goodwood latest but is ridden by an inexperienced claimer. Jumbeau slips further down the weights while Pastiche doesn’t look badly treated on handicap debut. American Belle has won her last two and is almost certain to run her race again while Prepense didn’t appear to last home stepped up to a mile at Kempton. VIA CORONE (NAP) may well have won again at Haydock last month had she kept a straight course and she can gain compensation this evening.
