A highly competitive race for the grade opens this evening's cards at Newmarket and the back to form Satyr is just selected over Didn't Tell My Wife, Sattam and Moscow to get things off to a good start for punters. The five-year-old hails from a yard that have just started to really fire in the last couple of weeks and has his ideal conditions to finally add to his Thirsk maiden win from two years ago. He acts well on a sound surface and should be at the top of his game after showing that he still retains ability in his three previous outings this term. Didn't Tell My Wife is another to watch out for in the market and will be interesting if supported at each way odds. Sattam and Moscow are others who have strong place claims but have a few questions to answer with regard to temperament - the first time visor for the latter is something of an imponderable and he may be best watched here. Of those at longer odd: Encounter appeals as a lively outsider on the pick of his form and he should relish this straight dash for the line, where as Out For A Stroll could also figure if he consents to put it all in this evening. However, Satyr has the best recent form and he is taken to build on that form now.
