Tolzey, whose form was given a boost by Attraction on Wednesday, is taken to give Mick Channon another Royal winner at the expense of Farewell To Arms and Malaica. Although yet to open her account, Tolzey has run well on two of her three outings, the only poor showing coming at Haydock when the ground was testing. Her second to Attraction in Beverley's Hilary Needler Trophy has been advertised in style by Mark Johnston's filly in the Queen Mary, and there appears to be nothing of that calibre in this line-up. Channon also runs Silca's Gift but her Windsor maiden debut victory, gained with cut in the ground does not look anywhere near as good as her stablemate's efforts. Farewell To Arms was just touched off in the Brocklesby at Doncaster on her debut and was also staying on well at Chester in the Lily Agnes Stakes so the step up in trip will definitely be in her favour. She can give Tolzey most to do, while the French raider Malaica may find conditions too fast judged on her exploits at home. Karl Burke reckons that Imperialistic is good enough for this, and along with Lucayan Beauty and Fragrant Star, can help make it an interesting contest. However, with the Channon yard chock full of useful juveniles, it has to be Tolzey that gets the vote.
