OCEAN BLAZE is taken to prevail in the finale at the main expense of Evelyn May and Luminous Gold. The selection wasn't beaten far at Doncaster earlier in the month in a competitive handicap and she followed that up with a game success at Goodwood when she beat Cape Royal. She is clearly in great heart at present and she looks as though she could be up to defying a penalty to register another success. Barry Hills has got his string in decent form at present and although Evelyn May won well at Kempton last time, she has been nowhere near as effective so far on the turf and she looks worth taking on. Chris Wall's stable have had a quiet spell recently but they did have a winner and a second at Pontefract on Thursday and it looks as though they could be bouncing back into form. Luminous Gold could therefore be of interest as she has gone close on each of her last two starts. The worry is the trip as this is the first time she has ever raced over 5f and she may get run off her feet. Corton Charlemagne is in good form but she was all-out to score at Folkestone last time and she looks to have more on her plate today. Ocean Blaze makes most appeal and she gets the pick.
