Michael Wigham's CREDIT SWAP has done everything asked of him of late, just doing enough to win each of his last three starts, and he can defy a 3lb rise for his latest success here on the July Course to win again, getting the vote over Isphahan and Mountain Cat. Alan Swinbank's gelding just did enough when successful at Wolverhampton last week and a 6lb rise for that looks harsh so he may have to settle for minor honours. Gerard Butler's Elliptical is less exposed than most of these after just six starts so far and he looks to be going the right way judged by his last two starts when winning at Salisbury and when chasing home Seek N' Destroy here last time. He has every chance racing off the same mark today and makes more appeal than Thief of Time, who races off the same mark as when well held behind Prime Exhibit at Sandown last month. Andrew Balding's Isphahan has been running creditably of late and should again be involved at the finish but it is hard to get away from Credit Swap, who can win his fourth race on the bounce.
