Porters was a real eyecatcher on his debut at Sandown, and is fancied to score at the second time of asking; of the newcomers, The Visualiser makes plenty of appeal, along with Madroos and With Style. Porters, a Minardi colt trained by Richard Hannon, was unfancied on his debut but put up a remarkable performance, finishing very fast to be a close fifth to Right Again in what looked to be a decent event. He seems sure to pick up a maiden and today could be the day. None of the newcomers in the line-up have any fancy entries, although some of the bigger yards are represented. Godolphin send out The Visualiser, a million dollar yearling by Giants Causeway, while John Dunlop saddles a 50,000 dollar colt in Madroos and son Ed's With Style is an 85,000 guinea daughter of Grand Lodge. The market is likely to give some indication of their merits, but it will take a good one to beat Porters and he gets the nod.
