      Verdict

      Al Hilalee avoids a penalty as his Listed victory at Deauville came before the deadline. He was supported for the 2000 Guineas on his return but never really got involved. Eightsome Reel definitely has more to offer and was a very convincing winner over the trip at Ripon while Kempton winner Khuzaam has bags of scope and still has a Derby entry. RAISE YOU has a stayer's pedigree so the fact that he could win easily over a mile in a race that has worked out well at Newbury speaks volumes and he can remain unbeaten. Stormwave made a successful start at Salisbury in October but weakened very quickly over this trip on soft ground at Newbury.
