Dark Angel and Major Eazy are newcomers of interest here but it is hard to get away from Nikindi and he rates the one that they all have to beat. The selection was a comfortable winner despite having looked as though the run would do him all the best when making a winning debut at Folkestone earlier this month and gets the vote to follow up in the belief that there is more to come. Baytown Blaze has more to do than when successful on the all-weather at Southwell last time and of more interest may be Orpen's Art, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. The Barry Hills-trained Dark Angel has a decent pedigree but may well want further to show his best form, while Major Eazy should relish this trip being a half-brother to decent sprinter Carmine Lake. He has to be respected on his debut but will need to be useful to beat Nikindi, who gets the vote.
