Another tough race for punters to assess, but if you must have a bet then the suggestion is GAME LAD, while Furnace and We'll Come look leading contenders. The Tim Easterby-trained selection would not be the first double-figure priced winner to land this race, which is a graveyard for favourites, and he won very comfortably over the trip at Ayr last time. Most of his form is with cut in the ground, but he has won on good, and now he has a win on the board he looks to be back on a fair mark so we'll chance him. Furnace had We'll Come behind him when winning last time and is now 3lb worse off for a length, so there should again be little to choose between that pair. Plum Pudding has gone up 4lb for a course and distance win last time and can certainly get competitive once more, and he is 1lb worse off with Masai Moon for finishing a length ahead, so he may be able to keep his nose in front of that rival. Damika is 10lb higher than when landing last year's renewal, so he faces a stiff task and for today we prefer the claims of Game Lad.
