LADY VALENTINO, Stand Guard and Turkish Sultan are the three to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Lady Valentino. Michael Dods's filly has the best of the draw and she finished a fair fourth behind Packers Hill at Redcar last time. She did not get the run of the race that day but she is clearly in good heart and she looks worth chancing on her all-weather bow. Stand Guard has had a couple of outings after a six month break so he should be spot-on for this, and he does have a positive draw. Turkish Sultan chased home Classic Blue here last time when he shaped as though this slight step-up in trip would suit. He can go well, while Split The Wind did not see out the trip last time so the drop to this distance will suit. Lady Valetino looks the percentage call in a competitive opener.
