A competitive handicap closes the card and from a shortlist of GRAYLYN RUBY, Oasis Sun and Spanish Conquest we will side with Graylyn Ruby. The selection won well last time when he was making his all-weather debut. His decisive success at Lingfield when he beat Silky Steps marked him down as one to stay on the right side of on this surface and from a good draw he looks the one to beat. Oasis Sun has shown her best form at this venue so she has to be respected, and she did win well here last time over this course and distance when she beat Just Intersky. The draw could have been kinder but she should still go well. Spanish Conquest hails from the Sir Mark Prescott yard and he has been in good form, but this drop in trip is not sure to play to his strengths and for that reason we will take him on. Dusk has been running well without winning of late and he is a little one-paced. He could be worth a try over a slightly longer trip than this. Flam is proving hard to win with, while Mista Rossa could prove best of the others, but for the winner we will stick with Graylyn Ruby.
