A 20-runner sprint handicap is hardly the ideal getting-out stakes and few of the field can be ignored. Cape Classic could easily complete is hat-trick as he's only gone up 3lb since winning at Ffos Las, while Blues Jazz could hardly be coming into this in better form. George Baker has won four of his last five starts but Oneladyowner's winning run came to an end off this mark at Goodwood and Deerslayer was found out in this grade at Doncaster last time. Picabo ran well in that race, however, and may have more to give and the lightly-raced Fabreze came good again at Haydock 15 days ago. Perfect Pastime is knocking on the door but SLUGGSY MORANT is a tentative choice to follow up his defeat of Walter Swinburn's gelding at Goodwood. He is 3lb higher now but had something up his sleeve that day and the penny may have finally dropped.
