Verdict
Gathering looks certain to improve on her debut fourth here in July when sent off joint favourite. Robert Havlin's mount is preferred to stablemate Amelia May. Brian Meehan saddles both Folkestone third Loved By All and Seaside Escape but neither make much appeal in this grade and more interesting are Leicester runner-up Cresta Star and Bana Wu, who shaped with promise behind subsequent May Hill Stakes winner Lyric Of Light on her introduction. EPOQUE could be worth a bet on debut, however, being a half-sister to four winners including Sea Of Leaves who was a sharp two-year-old. Sir Henry Cecil's filly may be more forward than fellow newcomer Cantal.
