Kew Gardens ended last year with a Listed success over 1m2f here but the Ballydoyle colt is penalised along with Stage Magic, a Group 3 winner at Chantilly, Stage. Mildenberger escapes a penalty for an earlier Listed win at Salisbury but this is a tougher task than Dark Acclaim faced when placed at Newcastle recently, though he finished well ahead of Fortune's Pearl. Arbalet found life tough in Pattern company at the end of last year while a couple of these step up in class on their return. A novice winner at Ayr, New Show is in the 2000 Guineas while maiden winner MSAYYAN is entered in the Derby and a bold bid is expected from the latter given John Gosden has sent out two of the last three winners of this.
