Plenty of recent winning form on offer for punters to ponder and having done so we will side with RUSSIAN JAR on his handicap debut, while Everynight and Paquerettza are among the dangers. The selection won a Leicester maiden over a mile back in May and has been brought along at home since. A mark of 82 here should not be too taxing and the Xaar gelding looks likely to be able improve enough to defy that sort of rating on his handicap debut. Everynight has some solid form to his name, including a good run behind the progressive Firebet when we last saw him in June, and he can get very competitive from today's mark. David Brown's Paquerettza is now 11lbs higher than when winning at Redcar in the spring and that is partly due to a follow-up success over course and distance here last month. There is no reason why she can't improve again and take a close hand. Adoring remains of interest now stepped up in trip and may be able to improve, and the same applies to Nottingham scorer Suba, who is 4lbs higher than that last-time success. The Happy Hammer may be a little short on class and Russian Jar is preferred.
