Jake The Snake is interesting if transferring his all-weather form to the turf, however a safer bet may be HALSION CHANCER who is preferred to Negotiation and Day Of The Eagle. John Best's gelding stormed home at Sandown last time out and is only 4lb higher this afternoon. He still looks fairly handicapped on his all-weather form and with this drop in trip not a problem a bold bid is anticipated. Day Of The Eagle was a winner here over a mile in October and is considered although he might feasibly need the run, Negotiation is nicely handicapped now after some tame front-running efforts but better is expected as he drops in trip, whilst L'Hirondelle and Mac's Power join Jake The Snake on a list of quality all-weather runners who have a little to prove. Standpoint is perhaps more interesting given his consistent profile on all surfaces, whilst George Thisby represents a yard in good nick and will be all the better for a Windsor spin last time out. Blinkers are tried on Arabian Pearl who looks weighted to win, whilst Purus is out of the weights but is considered as a course and distance winner who comes here in good form. A tricky end to the card for punters but the nomination goes to Halsion Chancer.
