    In depth

    Verdict

Monsieur Reynard can land the finale. Wynberg has been in terrific form and, along with Doric Lady and Second Opinion, rates as a threat. Second Opinion is lightly raced and therefore open to improvement. He posted a progressive effort last time out and represents good each-way value here. Doric Lady is another that is capable at this level and is shaping up nicely. Alan Munro got on well with her at Folkestone a fortnight ago and, from a 3lb lower mark, the filly has a realistic chance of making the frame. Wynberg chases a four-timer this evening, so merits a second look in the betting. However, he has yet to really prove himself on turf, so has a bit more to find here. Therefore, it can pay to give another chance to Monsieur Reynard, who comes here on the back of a solid effort at Nottingham last time out. Ryan Moore will again take the ride and, with his stamina for six furlongs not in doubt, Monsieur Reynard makes the most appeal in a really tough one to call.
