Fateh Field can give Godolphin a timely boost and is the reason Frankie Dettori delays his beauty sleep this evening. Gasper Van Wittel is a good gauge to the level of form and is placed alongside Fanjura and Cat Junior as a danger. Cat Junior recorded a good time on his debut at Newbury and has little option but to take his chance in this stiffer company. An entry in the St James' Palace Stakes may be flying high for the son of Storm Cat holds, but he is an improving colt that should be followed with interest whatever happens here. Gasper Van Wittel has fared well against some useful opponents and deserves to find a race at some point. However, he does have a tendency to find at least one too good and may again have to play second fiddle if the selection gets the score right this evening. Fanjura also holds an entry at Royal Ascot and is another that has to be given plenty of respect. Jeremy Noseda holds the son of Matrju in the highest regard and, as the colt has experience of this track, he should post a big run. However, Fateh Field steps up to a more appropriate trip tonight and, with the likelihood of fair odds being available, Dettori's faithful legions are again expected to be full of cheer post race.
