    Verdict

Untimely can land the finale at the expense of Miss The Boat, with Monash Lad best of the remainder. The final race looks a bit easier to sort out than most of the others, with just six runners, the best of whom looks to be Untimely. Hugh Morrison's three-year-old opened her account in fine style at Carlisle just over three weeks ago, and off just a three-pound higher mark is taken to follow up, with none of her rivals in great form at present. Miss The Boat made all at Windsor in June and in two runs over longer trips since has failed to stay, but this drop back to 10 furlongs might be too short, given that her sole success was over a mile and a half. Monash Lad has yet to open his account but shaped well on his first try over 10 furlongs at Leicester three days ago, and may too be in the shake-up if sufficiently recovered, but he will do well to stop Untimely from following up.
