Erytheis appears to be on the upgrade and can improve again to beat High Curragh, Angus Newz and Scarlet Flyer to name but three. Sir Michael Stoute's filly was odds-on to break her duck at Yarmouth last month and managed to do so despite being pressed close home by three other rivals. That showed her battling qualities, and the daughter of Theatrical does not look overly burdened on her nursery bow. With Kieren Fallon once again in the saddle over a trip that suits, she makes most appeal in an otherwise competitive affair. Kevin Ryan's juveniles continue to run well, as they have done all season and High Curragh is out to make up for his defeat when sent off favourite in the race won by the useful Prince Of Light at York. Fallon rode him that day however, so should know what to expect from his opponent. Angus Newz has now won three times but is a tricky ride and has been wearing a visor. She has plenty of experience and could again figure along with Scarlet Flyer for whom a change of tactics worked well at Brighton as he was produced from off the pace to score. Mick Channon has three runners here so watch the market for clues as to his main hope, but in any case we feel that Erytheis is the one to beat.
