Verdict

SHAKOPEE (NAP) was beaten only a head over track and trip on his reappearance and handicap debut. Luca Cumani’s charge should go close again in this. Mohatem was behind the selection last time but Zamperini scored over course and distance in October though it was soft ground on that occasion. Shell Bay also won over track and trip in October but on a fast surface while Alcatraz was placed at Windsor on his return and could figure. This is much tougher than the claimer Viewpoint won at Wolverhampton recently but Bastille Day may improve for the step up to today’s trip and get involved.
