Verdict

Just the one winning favourite in nine previous renewals and this looks as wide-open as ever. Udontdodou romped home by seven lengths in soft ground at Thirsk on his return to action and is preferred to other recent maiden winners Top of The Bank and Paddy Power. Just That Lord continued his good progress with an easy win at Windsor and has the beating of Discreet Hero. But he is upped in class for this while EL ASTRONAUTE drops down a grade after finishing second at Chester. John Quinn’s charge should go well on that form and Curtain Call could also figure on the back of a pipe-opener at Wolverhampton. Dheban is better than his reappearance at Doncaster suggests while Teresar, Lydia's Place and Spike are others to note on their seasonal debuts.
