In depth
Verdict
In the opener, Gunner's View is selected ahead of Far Seeking, Palamoun and Postsprofit. Gunner's View stayed on to take third place on Lingfield's Polytrack on his debut, showing a lot of promise in the process. The stable's runners tend to improve for a run and he can make that pay today. Perfect Star's debut run suggested that he was up to winning a run-of-the-mill maiden, while Postsprofit cost 100,000 guineas and is among the more interesting newcomers. Palamoun's debut run over a mile here suggested that he could win a race of this nature, and Lang Shining and Far Seeking also attracted some interest when looking through the pedigrees of these runners. Cape Hawk is another that showed debut promise, while the market might guide with regard to the others. Overall, though, we will give the vote to Gunner's View.
