In depth

Verdict

Moorhouse Lad is taken to land the prize in this competitive handicap with Loch Verdi and Matsunosuke put forward as the main dangers. The selection is a course and distance winner and the booking of Frankie Dettori certainly catches the eye. He finished in mid-division in the Kings' Stand stakes at Royal Ascot last time but this is a much more realisitic target and he should go well. Loch Verdi finished behind our selection last time and although he is slightly better off at the weights here, it shouldn't enable him to turn the tables. Matsunosuke is another that finished behind our selection last time and again similar comments would apply. Judd Street may need the run after being off the track since November and we are happy to stick with Moorhouse Lad who looks to hold solid claims.
